Who We Are

At Warren, we emphasize student responsibility in educational planning and timely completion of all degree requirements for graduation. Learn about university, college and departmental academic regulations early in your academic career so that your experience at UCSD is positive. The college advising staff includes a dean, an assistant dean, academic counselors, an intake counselor, administrative support staff, and peer counselors to assist you with all matters related to your academic life at UCSD.

What We Do

• Monitor, implement and communicate information about academic policies, procedures and graduation requirements.
• Assist students in clarifying their academic goals and objectives.
• Provide individual and/or group advising opportunities to assist students in achieving academic success.
• Oversee the advising and enrollment process of all new freshman and transfer students.
• Offer class selection and schedule advising on a quarterly basis.
• Make referrals and direct students to appropriate campus units and resources.
• Review and certify student academic records for graduation.
• Demonstrate a high level of professionalism and maintain complete confidentiality in advising/counseling matters.
