Graduation check list

Attention Seniors:

As you prepare for graduation, remember you must :

  • Complete a minimum of 180 units by the end of your quarter of graduation
  • Complete a minimum of 60 Upper Division units
  • Verify that your American History and Institutions requirement will be complete
  • Verify that your Entry Level Writing requirement is satisfied
  • Verify that  all University, College general education, and department major requirements will be complete
  • Verify that you did not duplicate any coursework – you may receive credit only once for most course material.  Before you graduate, duplicate units will be deducted from your record.
Other items:
  • A  maximum of 105 quarter units from two-year institutions may be applied toward your graduation requirements
  • No additional credit is allowed for repeats of D grades
  • Do not exceed your allowable Pass/Not Pass (P/NP) units. No more than 25% of your total UCSD units can be taken P/NP.

To calculate Pass/No Pass Percentage:

UCSD P/NP units ÷ ( UCSD Graded + UCSD P/NP units)

To calculate your projected P/NP percentage

(UCSD graded + UCSD P/NP+UCSD graded and P/NP units you will take) ÷ by 4= 25%

  • Check your degree audit periodically on TritonLink, especially after any course change. Changes to your TritonLink record will be reflected on your audit after 48 hours.
  • Check your record for accuracy. Verify that all of your credit is listed correctly.
  • To qualify for University Honors, you must attain a minimum of 80 UC graded units.

Fall 2007-Winter 2008-Spring 2008-Summer 2008 UCSD University Honors

Verify the following information is accurate on TritonLink

  • Major and major code (along with BA or BS)
  • Minor is posted
  • Name as you wish it to appear on your diploma
  • Current and permanent addresses. If any of the above information is not accurate, correct it immediately at the Registrar's Office

UCSD and your College will correspond only via your UCSD email address. Keep it clean and check it periodically

After the above has been confirmed, file for graduation via the Virtual Advising Center. Select RED graduation tab to begin the process

Approximately three weeks after filing for graduation,  check the Virtual Advising Center via tools section on TritonLink  on a regular basis.  Click on “contact record” to view information on your graduation status.
