FOUNDATION MYTHS OF CHINESE CULTUREANLD 90, Section B00 This course will explore the orientations to life enshrined in some of the most famous stories and myths in Chinese popular culture, analyzed from an anthropological perspective.
CREATION SCEINCE, INTELLIGENT DESIGN AND NEODARWINIAN EVOLUTIONANLD 90, Section C00 This seminar is intended for people genuinely trying to understand the scientific evidence concerning how we got here. There will be no "right answer" shoved down anyone's throat; the goal is to understand the arguments, their implications, and the data underlying them. Exact content of the seminar will be collectively decided on at the first meeting.
HOW TO THINK ABOUT PSYCHOLOGYPSYC 90, Section A00 This seminar introduces the various sub-disciplines in Psychology, their research methods, and also explores career and graduate school opportunities. This includes informal presentations by faculty, graduate students, and other professionals.
CONFLICTS OF RELIGION WITH SCEINCEREV 90, Section A00 Past and present conflicts of religion with science will be reviewed. Potential scientific advances that may lead to further conflicts will be discussed. Avenues for conflict understanding and for cooperation on critical societal problems will be explored.
SEMINAR CANCELLED : BUSINESS IN THE 21st CENTURYREV 90, Section B00 This “business” seminar will provide a critical look at business fundamentals and what causes businesses to succeed and fail in the real world. Possible career paths will be discussed. Students will be required to submit a detailed business plan.
