Linda Brodkey

Linda Brodkey earned a Ph.D. from the University of New Mexico and is currently a professor in the Literature Department at UCSD. She has directed the Warren College Writing Program since 1992.  Her academic field is college composition, and her academic interests include the essay and social theories of language. She has written two books, Academic Writing as Social Practice and Writing Permitted in Designated Areas Only, as well as a number of articles on college writing pedagogy.
