Q: Who may use the Writing Center’s services?

Any Warren College student may use our services. Unfortunately, we cannot assist students enrolled in other colleges.

Q: Is there a charge?

No. Our services are free of charge.

Q: Can I get assistance with writing for any UCSD course?

Yes, we will help you with writing assignments for any course. But keep in mind that the writing mentors may not be familiar with the course material you are addressing, and cannot answer questions about the content of readings or lectures.

Q: What about SDCC 1 or SDCC 4 (Basic Writing - Subject A)? Can you help me with those classes?

Yes, we can help you with your SDCC 1 and SDCC 4 assignments, and with strategies for success on the exit exam.

Q: Can you help me with out-of-class writing tasks such as application essays?

In most cases, yes. Check with the center coordinator (e-mail: mpicciotto@ucsd.edu) before seeking help with out-of-class writing.
