I have junior/senior level standing, how do I sign up for Warren Writing?
Students who have more than 90 units are blocked from registering for WCWP 10A or 10B. Please email to the Warren Writing Program office to be pre-authorized for registration.
I have given my official transcript(s) to the registrar and potentially have transfer coursework. Can I get department approval to enroll into WCWP 10A?
Prior college/university coursework must be officially evaluated by the registrar prior to pre-authorization into WCWP 10A. Check with the registrar for their timeline when they will have the transcripts evaluated.
What are my chances of getting into the class if I'm on the waitlist?
Warren Writing classes fill up quickly and very few students drop, especially fall quarter. Students who are first on the waitlist have about a 50% chance of getting into the course and the likelihood of getting in drops for every student on the waitlist thereafter. WCWP 10A and 10B courses are offered every quarter, however.
I really need to take Warren Writing this quarter. Is there any way to change the enrollment to 16?
Unfortunately classes are capped at 15 students. We do not allow 16 students in a class.
How can I find out what the 10B topics are for next quarter?
The 10B topics are posted on the Warren Writing website before enrollment begins for the following quarter. You can find the list of topics here: WCWP 10B course topics and course descriptions
I am in SDCC1 and would like to enroll into next quarter's WCWP 10A. How can I enroll?
Contact the Warren Writing office for pre-authorization at firstname.lastname@example.org.You must pass both SDCC1 (with a grade C or better) and the Exit Exam in order to meet the pre-requisite for WCWP 10A. Pre-requisite checks are done and you may be dropped if you have not passed both SDCC1 and the Exit Exam.
Where are you located?
