The Health Care-Social Issues Program is designed to enhance student competence in analyzing the complex social and ethical ramifications of health care issues by offering an interdisciplinary minor, educational events, and speakers from a wide range of perspectives.
Students gain an understanding of how economic, cultural, technological, social, and psychological processes affect modern health care.
The curriculum complements natural science, humanities, and social science majors and enriches student participation in the health care professions.
The program is administered by Warren College and available to all UCSD students with a general interest in health care.
Students who are interested in creating a major in Health Care-Social Issues should contact the program coordinator for more information*
*This option is not available to Sixth College students. |
