SOME IMPORTANT TIPS TO REMEMBER FOR THE MOVE-IN PROCESS:

  • Everyone is assigned a specific time.  KINDLY BE ON TIME. If you will be arriving after 8:00 PM due to transportation issues, please contact our office ahead of time at warrenreslife@ucsd.edu.
  • Arrive as close to your specific move-in time as possible.  If you come earlier, you will NOT be allowed to move in until your assigned time.  Every student has been assigned a specific time.  This helps reduce waiting in lines, parking congestion, and delays using the elevators.  In order for the process to work properly, we need everyone’s cooperation.
  • Expect to wait.  We will do our very best to provide you with the best possible service we can; however, please come prepared to patiently wait.
    • Keep in mind this tends to a time when it is hot and humid.  We suggest you bring water and snacks as you wait.  Please dress for the hot and humid weather & moving boxes.  You may want to check our local forecast on the weather channel at https://weather.com/weather/tenday/l/La+Jolla+CA+92037:4:US.
    • Please be patient.
    • Please be kind and courteous to our staff.
    • Make sure you have gas in your vehicle before coming onto campus.
  • You must check in and pick up your key and have your student ID encoded no later than 4:00 pm on Tuesday, September 25.  If you will be arriving late, you must notify our office in advance via email at warrenreslife@ucsd.edu by 4:00 pm on Monday, September 24, 2017.
  • You are not allowed to be in your space until you officially check in and pick up your keys.

There is a wide variety of activities planned for Welcome Week.  Students should plan to stay and participate in the fun!  Check out the calendar of events at http://studentevents.ucsd.edu.
