Warren Reslife

Office of Residential Life

The Residential Life Offices are located in the Canyon Vista Complex on the upper level. Students with any questions or concerns regarding residential life issues should drop by the office, email warrenreslife@ucsd.edu or call (858) 534-4581.

Resident Advisors (RAs)

Resident Advisors are the members of the Residential Life staff and are the University employees who will be most visible to residents.  They are undergraduate students who have undergone a rigorous selection and training process.  They live in the Warren Residential Complex and work with residents to develop a sense of community, facilitate open and sensitive communication among apartment/suite mates, and organize social, recreational, educational, and cultural activities.  RAs are involved with many college and campus-wide activities and are good sources of information.   They also are responsible, should the need arise, to remind residents that there are rules and regulations to abide by while living in the complex.

Night and Weekend Duty

Each night and during the weekends, an assigned resident dean and resident advisors will be on duty to help residents with immediate concerns or questions.  The resident deans can be reached through the duty RAs.

The duty RA is available nightly at the SAC on Sundays-Thursdays from 6:45 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays from 6:45 p.m. to 1:00 a.m., and after that in his or her apartment or room. For residents who are locked out of their rooms after office hours, the duty RA can help them get into their apartments, suites, or rooms starting at 5:00 p.m Monday-Friday, and all day Saturday-Sunday. There is a $1 lock out fee.  After these listed times, call the campus police at (858) 534-HELP.

The duty RA can be reached nights and weekends through (858) 546-7634 (SOFI) or through the duty cell phone (858) 692-8635.  Please follow the instructions on the answering machine if it is after hours.
