Student Organizations and Groups

Warren College provides a large variety of groups and organizations for student involvement. Listed below are organizations that are sponsored by, or work closely with, Warren College. Not only does participation enhance personal development and leadership skills, but life-long friends will be made in the process.

Warren College Student Council

    General Information

    Warren College Student Council (WCSC) provides representatives to campus-wide and and college-wide committees while providing for the existence of Warren College Student Organizations. WCSC also has control over their funds and can allocate those funds accordingly. WCSC establishes an Events board to coordinate programs that benefit the Warren College community. Anybody who is part of the Warren College Student Body can apply for and hold any office in WCSC.

  • President: Jon Young

    The President serves as the official representative of WCSC and the Warren College Student Body (WCSB) and chairs meetings of the Council.
  • Vice President Internal: Biura Markarian

    The V.P. Internal assists the President in the execution of the duties and coordinate the efforts of WCSC’s voting members.  The V.P. Internal chairs the Appointments and the Rules committees.
  • Vice President External: Snehith Maddula

    The V.P. External assists the President in the execution of the duties and coordinate the efforts of WCSC’s representatives to external committees to ensure that the interests of the WCSB are well represented.  The V.P. External chairs the Scholarship and the Technical Equipment committees.
  • Treasurer: Koushik Tuppil

    The Treasurer works with the President to draft the annual budget and supports the business functions of the Council. The Treasurer chairs the Finance Committee and is available as a resource to all groups who have received WCSC funding.

Events Board

    The Warren College Student Council Events Board is responsible for the planning, implementation, and execution of events and programs that benefit the Warren College community. Events Board has 12 members - both elected and appointed Spring and Fall quarters - who serve a one-year term.

Warren Transfer and Commuter Commission (WTCC)

    General Information

    WTCC is charged with addressing the unique needs of Warren transfer and commuter students. WTCC is comprised of 10 members who are both elected and appointed, 5 transfer students and 5 commuter students are selected during Spring and Fall quarter, and serve a one-year term. The WTCC is funded through the Warren College Activities Fee, managed by the Warren College Student Council (WCSC), and the group puts on a variety of events throughout the year. Events have included study breaks, socials, workshops, and trips to Disneyland and the San Diego Zoo.

Commission on Warren Spirit (COWS)

    COWS is a commission of the Warren College Student Council charged with coordinating events that promote and showcase Warren College spirit and pride.  We are deeply rooted in the idea of community building and our mission is to create events that provide opportunities for students to get out, engage, and have fun. Ww are a spirited, passionate group of people that want to bring excitement and energy to Warren College! We host quarterly programs such as the Rally to Spirit Night, Warren's Got Talent, attendance at athletic games, tailgates, and more.

Warren Concerts and Festivals Commission (WCFC)

    The Warren Concerts and Festivals Commission is a commission of the Warren College Student Council charged with coordinating the annual Warren College Concert - Warren Live! Warren Live! is a growing tradition on the UCSD campus, past acts have included Matt Nathanson, The Hush Sound, and Parachute.

Warren Organization on Cultural Engagement

  • General Information

    Warren Organization on Cultural Engagement (WOCE), formed in 2017, is an organization that seeks to promote cultural awareness and diverse dialogue within the Warren college community. WOCE coordinates workshops, listening circles, and large scale events on topics related to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

The Equilibrium

    First founded in 2014, “The Equilibrium” is established for the expressed purpose of providing a stimulating academic discourse and exchange of ideas and research at the undergraduate level. This organization is dedicated to the publication and promotion of research conducted by undergraduate students of Earl Warren College and the student body of the University of California, San Diego, and other articles, materials, etc. that is deemed to be in relation or conjunction to the organization’s expressed purpose. “The Equilibrium” is a not-for-profit student organization.

Warren College Peer Mentorship Program (WPMP)

    General Information

    The Warren College Peer Mentorship Program (WPMP) provides incoming students the opportunity to form a mentoring relationship with a current Warren College student. Mentors assist incoming students with adjusting to the quarter system, finding opportunities for involvement at Warren College and UCSD, and will help students meet and socialize with their peers at group programs.

CleRHCs
