Warren College provides a large variety of groups and organizations for student involvement. Listed below are organizations that are sponsored by, or work closely with, Warren College. Not only does participation enhance personal development and leadership skills, but life-long friends will be made in the process.

Warren College Student Council (WCSC)

WCSC members work closely with the Warren College staff to make decisions on issues affecting the quality of student life at the College. Positions on WCSC are both elected (Spring Quarter) and appointed (Fall and Spring Quarters). A variety of positions are open to all Warren students. WCSC actively serves as the voice of Warren College students at the local and university level. For updates from your Warren College representatives visit their YouTube Channel. Meetings are held on Thursday evening and are open to all students.

Warren College Events Board

The WCSC Events Board is charged with planning events and activities for the Warren College student population. Events Board has 10 members - both elected and appointed Spring and Fall quarters - who serve a one-year term. The program board is funded through the Warren College Activities fee managed by WCSC, and puts on both large and small scale events throughout the year. Some events include the Welcome Week bon-fire, Semi-Formal, Battle of the Bands, and Mystery Bus. Meetings are held on Thursday evenings and are open to all students.

Warren Transfer and Commuter Commission (WTCC)

WTCC is charged with addressing the unique needs of transfer and commuter students as well as planning events and activities for the Warren College commuter population. WTCC has 10 members - both elected and appointed. Five transfer students and five commuter students are selected during Spring and Fall Quarter, and serve a one-year term. The WTCC is funded through the Warren College Activities Fee managed by WCSC, and the group puts on a variety of events throughout the year. WTCC assists College transfer students in their transition to life at UCSD, and provides social opportunities for commuters to meet one another. Events have included orientation info sessions, BBQ's, Study breaks, socials, baseball games and Disneyland trips. Many leadership opportunities are made available through WTCC.

Commission on Warren Spirit (COWS)

COWS is charged with coordinating events that promote and showcase Warren College spirit and Pride.  The commission coordinates Warren College participation in events including Spirit Night, attendance at athletic games, Welcome Week activities, and tailgate parties.

Warren Briefs

The College newspaper is produced in paper form and online. The newspaper includes information on student activities and special events; feature stories on students, faculty and staff; and other articles of interest to students. In addition to the Briefs editor and the Web editor, both of which are paid positions, volunteer staff includes reporters, copy editors, photographers, artists, cartoonists, columnists, and designers. Working with the Warren Briefs offers a student the opportunity either to build on previous journalism experience or gain valuable hands-on experience in writing, editing, photography, layout, and design. Previous experience is not necessary.

Programming at Warren (PAW)

PAW provides a variety of opportunities for resident and commuter students to be involved in maintaining and improving the quality of life in the residence halls and apartments. These include programming social, cultural, recreational, and educational events.

Warren Association of Volunteer Enthusiasts (WAVE)

WAVE is a student-run group, supported by the Warren Residential Life Office, that advocates principles of volunteerism and service learning. WAVE attempts to connect Warren College students with the greater San Diego community and give students an outlet for giving back to their community. Students in turn learn the value of sharing time and resources, along with gaining life-long skills in planning, programming, publicizing, and connecting with community organizations. The organizers of WAVE hope that students will gain an appreciation for community service and make a life-long commitment to volunteerism.

Frosh Small Group

The Frosh Small group formed in 2010 to provide a space and opportunity for freshman students to get to know others who are curious about Christianity and to develop a multi-ethnic community for discussion and service.

Real Life at UCSD - Campus Crusade for Christ

The Real Life at UCSD group formed in 2011 to help Warren College student achieve their goals of living a well-balanced lifestyle.  As part of a balanced lifestyle, Real Life at UCSD helps to meet students' spiritual needs.  This organization is a student chapter of Campus Crusade for Christ International (CCCI).

Upper Room

Upper Room formed in 2011.  Their goal is to create a spiritually nourishing community, to encourage spiritual growth, to foster outreach and compassion to surrounding communities, and to share the gospel with their peers.

Provost's Student Advisory Council (PSAC)

The Provost's Student Advisory Council, or PSAC, was initiated in fall of 2004 by Provost Steven Adler to elicit student perspectives on college initiatives and programs. Approximately ten students of varying academic disciplines, class levels, and backgrounds are selected to serve on PSAC each academic year. PSAC meetings are held one to two times a quarter with the Provost.  Interested students should email waprovost@ucsd.edu.

Warren College Honors Council

Students interested in taking an active role in developing the Honors Program are encouraged to participate in the Honors Council. The group provides overall direction for programs and events and assists with logistics and implementation. Interested students should email warrenhonors@ucsd.edu.

All Earl Warren College student organizations must register every FALL QUARTER by the end of the third week in order to be considered a registered student organization for the calendar year. New student organizations may complete a registration packet at any time in the year.
