Freshman Orientation Program
Warren College is excited to welcome you to our campus community. Freshman Orientation provides students the opportunity to meet other incoming students beginning their first year at Warren College. The programs, speakers, and activities scheduled for the two-day Orientation program will focus on the issues and resources that are most important to new students. Freshman Orientation is also a great way to find out how you can become involved on campus and speak to current UC San Diego students, staff, and faculty.

How to register for the Freshman Orientation Program
The Orientation enrollment and registration website opens in mid-May. New students are required to complete the enrollment process, sign-up for Orientation, and submit academic information. The college orientation programs are mandatory for all incoming UCSD students. Students can log into http://newstudent.ucsd.edu using their PID (student ID) and password included in the letter from the Admissions Office.

Sign up for your UCSD email account
Set up your UC San Diego email account. Check this account often as all correspondence from the University will be sent to this account.
Learn more about campus housing and dining
When you live on campus, you live, learn, dine, and socialize with other students going through the same experiences and changes. It's also a good way to get involved in campus life and build friendships. For more information on UC San Diego housing and dining options visit the Housing, Dining and Hospitality website.

Optional wilderness orientation trips
UCSD Campus Recreation offers several optional wilderness orientation adventures designed just for incoming students. They have four, five, and eight day trips that include backpacking, sailing, and canoe trips. No experience is required to participate. All trips happen in August and September and are a great way to kick start your first year. Enroll early as trips fill up fast.
The wilderness orientation is optional and does not replace any mandatory College orientation programs.
