Warren College Student Media Organizations

Warren Briefs

The college newspaper is produced in paper form and online at Warren Briefs. The newspaper includes information on student activities and special events; feature stories on students, faculty and staff; and other articles of interest to students. In addition to the Briefs editor and the Web editor, both of which are paid positions, volunteer staff includes reporters, copy editors, photographers, artists, cartoonists, columnists, and designers. Working with the Warren Briefs offers a student the opportunity either to build on previous journalism experience or gain valuable hands-on experience in writing, editing, photography, layout, and design. Previous experience is not necessary. For more information on joining the staff, call the Student Affairs Office (858) 534-4731.

Warren College Television

WCTV was the first staff and student-run closed circuit television station to operate on the UCSD campus. Established in the Fall of 1993, WCTV’s mission is to provide educational, informational, and entertaining programming for the students of UCSD. WCTV produces a variety of community-oriented programs and encourages students of all majors and from all six colleges to become members. Students at WCTV develop program content and have access to a production studio, editing facilities, cameras, videos, materials, staff assistance and a diverse audience for their projects. For more information call (858) 534-WCTV or visit http://wctv.ucsd.edu.
