Leadership Positions and Employment OpportunitiesCommunity Coordinators (CC)Community Coordinators work closely with Resident Advisors to assist in community building throughout the Warren Residential Complex. Community Coordinators assist in the supervision of 8-9 Resident Advisors, mentor Resident Advisors in community programming and roommate mediation, and assist in disciplinary confrontations. Community Coordinator responsibilities also include assisting with freshman outreach, move-in and Welcome Week events. Community Coordinators must have prior experience as an RA. Peer Academic AdvisorsThe peer academic advisors provide assistance with academic advising and scheduling for students of Warren College through the Academic Advising office. They also provide basic academic information on Warren College, major requirements, course selection, and campus resources. The peer academic advisors assist with the implementation of various programs, including orientation sessions for transfer students. The advisors also attend supervision and training meetings. Orientation Leaders (OLs)Orientation leaders are selected each Winter Quarter to orient and assist new students to become integrated into Warren College and the UCSD campus. The application process for OL positions takes place during Winter Quarter and an extensive training program is held the following spring. OLs participate in the new student orientation programs and have additional responsibilities during Welcome Week. Call (858) 534-4731 for more information. Resident Advisors (RAs)Resident advisors are undergraduate students who have undergone a rigorous selection and training process. They live in the Warren Residential Complex and work with residents to develop a sense of community, facilitate open and sensitive communication among apartment/suite mates, and to organize social, recreational, and cultural activities. RAs are involved with many college and campus wide activities, as well as being great sources of information. They also are responsible for reminding residents that there are rules and regulations to abide by while living in the complex. For more information call (858) 534-4581. Student Activities Center InternsThe Student Activities Center Interns are responsible for the overall administration, staffing, and programming in the Student Activity Center (SAC). The intern strives to make the Student Activities Center a focal point of student life within the Warren Residential Complex. Student Affairs InternsThe Student Affairs Interns assist the Dean’s staff to enhance the mission of Warren College. The interns' efforts center on our selected theme, “Leadership for Social Responsibility.” This focus will result in leadership, multicultural education, and service learning programming for the academic year. Student Orientation Coordinators (SOCs)Student Orientation Coordinators are students selected to help lead and coordinate Freshman and Parent Orientation, select and train a team of Orientation Leaders, and participate in Parent Orientation. SOCs are hired and trained during Winter and Spring Quarters, in order to prepare for the implementation of the new student orientation programs. Call (858) 534-4731 for more information. Warren College Student Ambassador Program (WCSAP)A newly established program where students volunteer, with no compensation or course credit, to assist college staff with targeted programs and events including Freshmen and Transfer Orientations, Admit Day and Transfer Day. Student Ambassadors also act as informal mentors and serve as a resource for various development opportunities for students. Warren College Television InternsThe WCTV intern positions are for students interested in all aspects of student media. The student employee position is charged with the day-to-day operations of the WCTV station under the direct supervision of the staff advisor/ General Manager.
