Warren College Student Organizations

Programming at Warren (PAW)

PAW provides a variety of opportunities for resident and commuter students to be involved in maintaining and improving the quality of life in the residence halls and apartments. These include programming social, cultural, recreational, and educational events. For more information, visit the PAW web site or call (858) 534-4581.

Provost Student Advisory Council (PSAC)

The Provost Student Advisory Council, or PSAC, was initiated in fall of 2004 by Provost Steven Adler to elicit student perspectives on college initiatives and programs. Approximately ten students of varying academic disciplines, class levels, and backgrounds are selected to serve on PSAC each academic year. PSAC meetings are held one to two times a quarter with the Provost.

Warren Advisory Council (WAC)

A new student organization emerged in Winter Quarter, 2004, called Warren Advisory Council (WAC). Originally conceived by the Dean of Student Affairs and the Dean of Residential Life at Warren, WAC is now fully staffed by students.

WAC members work together to assess the needs and interests of Warren College students and then convey their findings to College administration for possible implementation. Using survey data collected in the 2003-05 academic years, WAC members will continue to work with the Provost and Warren Student Affairs staff to develop plans for continual renovation of the Student Activity Center. The completion of this project will create a College central space that appeals to both resident and commuter students.

Warren Association of Volunteer Enthusiasts (WAVE)

WAVE is a student-run group, supported by the Warren Residential Life Office, which advocates principles of volunteerism and service learning. WAVE attempts to connect Warren College students with the greater San Diego community and give students an outlet for giving back to their community. Students in turn learn the value of sharing time and resources, along with gaining life long skills in planning, programming, publicizing, and connecting with community organizations. The organizers of WAVE hope that students will gain an appreciation for community service and make a life long commitment to volunteerism. For more information, visit the WAVE web site.
