Student Activity Center (SAC)
Located near the Warren shuttle stop off Voigt Drive, the Student Activity Center is available to all students who need a break to relax from their busy college life. SAC is open Sunday - Thursday 4:30pm - 11:00pm and Friday - Saturday 4:30pm - 1:00am. Each week, SAC hosts events, programs, and student organization meetings. For events and times, check out warren.ucsd.edu for the events calendar so you do not miss out.
SAC is run by Warren Resident Assistants (RAs). In addition to running the general operations of SAC, every week the RAs host an evening activity at SAC. Topics vary each week and all events are free to students. If you have an idea for an event, email email@example.com
A number of activities are available for students at SAC, either for free or at little cost. You can play pool ($1.00 per hour), shuffleboard ($1.00 per hour), Ping-Pong (free), foosball (free), or the piano (free). One of the more popular activities at SAC is to rent a movie ($1.00 per night), a video game ($1.00 per night), a board game (free), sports equipment (free), or just relax and enjoy your favorite shows on our big screen TV. Additionally, SAC has a XBOX 360 that students can check out on an hourly basis for $2.00 an hour (this includes the gaming equipment but not the video game). All reservations and rentals require a UCSD student ID and a refundable deposit.
If you get locked out after the Residential Life Office has closed, come to the Student Activity Center and the RA on duty will allow you access to your room. You will need to show your UCSD student ID. The first three times you get locked out and let back into your room there is no fee; after that, you will be assessed a fee of $10 per lockout.
If you live in the apartments, your mail is delivered to the Student Activity Center; some residents who live in the residential halls may also have a mailbox at the Student Activity Center. The mailbox numbers located at the Student Activity Center are 45001-45900. All packages delivered to Warren College residents are distributed at SAC.
If you ordered a University Reader for one of your classes, come to the Student Activity Center during regular business hours to pick it up.
If you are interested in reserving one of the rooms at the Student Activity Center, visit our Room Reservation page. All rooms must be reserved in advance. Available rooms include a large meeting room and a full-sized kitchen with supplies. Reservations are free to Warren College affiliates but do require a refundable deposit.
