Welcome Incoming Warren Transfer Students!

We are here to help you get to know your new home at Warren College. You’ll have Orientation Leaders to serve as your student guides as you learn about your academic, leadership, and involvement opportunities, and meet fellow students, staff, and faculty along the way. This is your time for a smooth transition to Triton and Warren life.

Here you will find important upcoming deadlines for Summer 2024. We will update this page later in the summer with an orientation schedule and reminders.

1. Submit your Academic Background on the New Triton Advising site on the Virtual Advising Center by Friday, June 28th. This helps us provide proper academic orientation and enrollment guidance for you this summer. 

2. Register for orientation by Friday July 26th at http://cor.ucsd.edu.

   • Please note there are two days of orientation: Part 1, a required virtual component and Part 2, a required in-person component.

   • Register by the deadline to avoid any late fees or holds on your record.

3. Review all your important university deadlines using this Warren IMPORTANT DATES document and your Admissions Enrollment Checklist..

   • Remember you are responsible for completing your administrative obligations.

   • Missed deadlines could impact your admission or your ability to enroll in Fall. 

4. Complete your Canvas modules starting August 26th.

   • Canvas is an online, interactive tool that you'll use for classes and orientation.

   • You'll need to complete the modules by September 17. More details to come, but you can start working on the modules in August. 

Orientation Dates

Part 1: Complete Online Materials (June-September 2024)

Part 2: Attend In-Person Orientation Session (September 2024)

Part 1 consists of submitting your New Triton Advising forms, attending a summer advising presentations, and completing the Canvas modules. Be sure to complete Canvas prior to your in-person Orientation and look out for more updates over the summer! Part 2 consists of your in-person orientation session. Be sure to register for your in-person session by July 26 using the link in step 2 above.

Please pay attention to all communication from HDH about move in processes. Move-in is only for students with housing contracts. You cannot move in on your orientation date.

Information for On-Campus Residents:

All students who have a contract for on-campus housing will be notified of the move-in process by Housing, Dining, Hospitality (HDH) in late August. You are NOT allowed to move-in on the same day as your Orientation session. If you fail to attend Orientation because of move-in, you will be marked absent and have a hold placed on your account. You will need to complete make-up assignments in order to remove the hold.

 If you are a new incoming International Student, some additional programs may be required.
