Applying to Graduate

Graduation is when a student has completed all requirements and their degree has been officially posted to their academic record. Students must file a Degree and Diploma Application (DDA) to initiate this process.

Commencement is the annual ceremony in which any student with senior standing (135 units) may choose to participate. Participation does not constitute official graduation from the University. Read more about Warren College Commencement and All Campus Commencement.

How to Apply for Graduation

  1. Once you submit your DDA, Warren College Advising will receive a notification that you have filed for graduation.  Review your degree audit for any deficiencies and notify us or your major/minor department via the Virtual Advising Center (VAC) with questions you may have regarding fulfillment of your degree requirements.
  2. Verify that your name, permanent address, major/minors are reflected accurately on TritonLink.
  3. Once you have verified that all graduation requirements will be completed by your intended quarter of graduation, submit a Degree and Diploma Application (DDA) within the application periods noted below:

  • * You may file a retroactive DDA up to one quarter beyond the deadline. Thereafter, contact Warren Advising via the Virtual Advising Center (VAC).
  • If your quarter of graduation is not yet open, you may participate in the Commencement Ceremony and will be required to return later to file for graduation. A DDA is required to graduate. No graduation paperwork will be filed if you fail to do this.
  • You may only have one active DDA. If you need to change your DDA to a different quarter, you must first retract your active DDA.
