Warren Residential Life and Ampitheater

Welcome to Warren Residence Life

The Residential Life Office oversees all aspects of the Warren Residence Life Community, including but not limited to administrative functions such as: student conduct, room change requests, contract release requests, mailboxes distribution, campus resource referrals, and acting as the primary liaison to Housing/Dining Administration.

In addition, the office also provides community and student leadership development, overseeing our paraprofessional student employees, managing the Student Activity Center, mentoring several campus organizations, and sponsoring various student programs.

Meet the Professional Staff

  • Director of Residence Life

    Director of Residence Life

    Dana Pysz, Ed.D.

    Dana has been  the Warren Director of Residential Life for 6 years. He grew up in Dana Point, CA (about 50 miles north of here) and previously worked at UCLA prior to moving to San Diego. He received his Bachelors in English at Humboldt State, Masters in Communication Studies at Texas Tech University, and Doctorate in Educational Leadership at UCLA. He lives on campus in a staff apartment in Goldberg Hall with his French Bulldog, Dixie, and can’t be more excited to be working here!

    Cesar Figueroa, Ed.D.

    Dr. Cesar Figueroa has worked at four UC Campuses: UC Irvine, UC Santa Barbara, UC Santa Cruz and now UC San Diego. Received B.A. from UC Irvine, M.Ed. University of Maryland-College Park, Advanced Certificate in College Counseling from UCLA Extension, and his doctorate in Educational Leadership at UCSD.

    Kevin Ngo

    Kevin Ngo is one of the Assistant Directors of Residence Life for Warren College. He co-supervises the Resident Assistants and engages with students about their residential experience! Having worked at multiple higher education institutions before, Kevin loves the atmosphere of a college campus, and as a first-generation graduate from a little school in Vermont, working in Residence Life now is one way he tries to give back and pay it forward to current students. In his free time, Kevin is an avid knitter/crocheter, reader/writer, and video gamer!

    Frida Herrera-Lozano

    Meet Frida, our residential housing assistant ready to help make your experience a great one! She holds a Bachelor's in Business Administration from UC Irvine (focused on organizational behavior and marketing), giving her a great foundation in making things work efficiently and creating positive environments.

    As a first-generation graduate, Frida is passionate about ensuring our community is a supportive, inclusive, and empowering home for every student at Warren.

    When she steps away from her professional duties, her creative and energetic side shines through: you'll find her cheering on her team at a baseball game or diligently working on her latest scrapbooking project.

    Christian Johnson (CJ)

    CJ recently graduated from UC San Diego, Warren College in June 2024 with a BA in Sociology, specializing in International Studies. During his undergrad, he worked as an Office Assistant at Warren Res Life for 3 years in addition to working as an RA. He has now joined our team as the Program Assistant & Fiscal Coordinator supporting our Residential Assistants and Professional Staff.

    Lead Resident Assistant (LRA)

    Lead Resident Assistants are undergraduate students who work closely with Resident Assistants to assist in community building throughout the Warren Residential Complex. Lead Resident Assistants assist in the guidance of 10-15 Resident Assistants, and support Resident Assistants in community programming and roommate mediation, and assist in disciplinary confrontations.

    Kiley Christopher

    Hi all! My name is Kiley, and I am a fourth year student double-majoring in Public Health and Human Developmental Sciences. This is my second year as a SACA, and this year I am the lead SACA. I am also involved at UCSD as a Warren RA and the President of the Speech, Physical, and Occupational Therapy (SPOT) Club. In my free time, I love going to the beach, watching baseball (go Dodgers!), cooking and baking, and spending time with my puppy.
