Warren Residential Life and Ampitheater

Welcome to Warren Residence Life

The office is open, Summer Hours Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm. The Residential Life Office oversees all aspects of the Warren Residence Life Community, including but not limited to administrative functions such as: student conduct, room change requests, contract release requests, mailboxes distribution, campus resource referrals, and acting as the primary liaison to Housing/Dining Administration.

In addition, the office also provides community and student leadership development, overseeing our paraprofessional student employees, managing the Student Activity Center, mentoring several campus organizations, and sponsoring various student programs.

Meet the Professional Staff

  • Director of Residence Life

    Director of Residence Life

    Dana Pysz, Ed.D.

    Dana has been  the Warren Director of Residential Life for 6 years. He grew up in Dana Point, CA (about 50 miles north of here) and previously worked at UCLA prior to moving to San Diego. He received his Bachelors in English at Humboldt State, Masters in Communication Studies at Texas Tech University, and Doctorate in Educational Leadership at UCLA. He lives on campus in a staff apartment in Goldberg Hall with his French Bulldog, Dixie, and can’t be more excited to be working here!

    Cesar Figueroa, Ed.D.

    Dr. Cesar Figueroa has worked at four UC Campuses: UC Irvine, UC Santa Barbara, UC Santa Cruz and now UC San Diego. Received B.A. from UC Irvine, M.Ed. University of Maryland-College Park, Advanced Certificate in College Counseling from UCLA Extension, and his doctorate in Educational Leadership at UCSD.

    Kevin Ngo

    Kevin Ngo is one of the Assistant Directors of Residence Life for Warren College. He co-supervises the Resident Assistants and engages with students about their residential experience! Having worked at multiple higher education institutions before, Kevin loves the atmosphere of a college campus, and as a first-generation graduate from a little school in Vermont, working in Residence Life now is one way he tries to give back and pay it forward to current students. In his free time, Kevin is an avid knitter/crocheter, reader/writer, and video gamer!

    Carrie Lee

    Carrie is the Residential Community Specialist at Warren College. She got her undergraduate degree from the University of California, Irvine and her master’s degree at San Diego State University. Aside from working in res-life, Carrie loves cooking and hanging out with her dog, Mimi.

    Belinda Herrera

    Belinda is born and raised in San Diego, graduated from the University of California Riverside with a BA in Political Science. Belinda enjoys spending time with her son and family, exploring new parks, new restaurants and going to the beach. She has a passion for arts and crafts, her hobby is macrame.

    Sara Aslagson-Sahar

    Sara has been described as a modern day renaissance woman. A Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing, both from San Diego State University, indicate their diverse passions. Having worked in ResLife in varying capacities in undergrad, she is excited to return to working in ResLife professionally at University of California, San Diego. When not at work Sara can be found crafting, playing video games, or dancing up a storm, when not cuddling with her corgi Scholar that is.

    Bri Maloney

    Bri received their Bachelor's double majoring in Theatre and Dance with a focus in Somatics, and has been working in Student Affairs for the last 3 years. They love to play bass, support the local music scene, and help organize mutual aid events. They are so excited to support the team and make the undergraduate experience as great as it can be!
