Upper-Division Non-Contiguous (UDNC) - Transfers with Verified Transfer Program

Two four-unit, upper-division courses (numbered 100+), non-contiguous (unrelated) to the major discipline, are required:

  • Must be taken at UC San Diego, Education Abroad Program, or another UC campus
  • Courses may be from the same discipline or same department

Additionally:

  • Courses may be taken Pass/Not Pass
  • With the exception of non-contiguous double majors, UDNC courses may not overlap with major courses
  • Appropriate upper-division minor courses may be used in lieu of UDNC courses
  • One Special Studies course chosen from 197, 198, or 199, can be used if non-contiguous to the major
  • Rady School of Management courses cannot be used - see an academic advisor if pursuing a Business minor
