Earl Warren College Commencement

Earl Warren College's 2024 Commencement Ceremony will be held on Sunday, June 16 from 8:00am-10:00am (PDT) at Warren Field.

2024 Digital Program

You must register for commencement by Wednesday, May 1 at 11:59 PM (PDT) for your name to be included in the digital program.

Please verify your Lived and Legal Name in your TritonLink account prior to beginning registration to ensure your name is displayed correctly during Commencement activities.

Each ceremony is available with English, Spanish, and Mandarin captions.

Applying for Graduation

Graduation is when a student has completed all requirements and their degree has been officially posted to their academic record. Students must file a Degree and Diploma Application (DDA) to initiate this process at http://degree.ucsd.edu.

Commencement is the annual ceremony in which any student with senior standing (135 units) may choose to participate. Participation does not constitute official graduation from the University.  Learn more at commencement.ucsd.edu.

Eligibility Criteria for Commencement

Graduates may participate during only one Commencement year but are permitted and encouraged to attend both All Campus Commencement and their college, graduate school, or graduate division ceremonies.

Registration for All Campus Commencement and undergraduate college commencements is open to eligible undergraduate students with 135 units by the end of winter 2024 who are completing their degree in fall 2023, winter 2024, spring 2024, summer 2024 or fall 2024.

Warren College Stoles

Starting May 6, Warren College Graduation stoles will be available at the UC San Diego Bookstore either online or in store.

Regalia Information

Regalia - specifically, the official UC San Diego cap, gown and tassel - are required at all Commencement 2024 ceremonies. Beginning in Spring, you can order your cap, gown and tassel through the UC San Diego Bookstore, along with announcements, diploma frames, and more.

Student Speaker

Apply to be the Warren College Commencement Student Speaker - Submissions Due by April 21, 2024
Each year, Warren College selects a student speaker for the Commencement ceremony. Interested Warren College students are invited to apply and audition for the role of student speaker.

To apply, submit a written copy of your speech via e-mail to Warren College Student Affairs at warrendean@ucsd.edu. The allotted time for the speech is 3‐5 minutes. A panel of faculty, staff, and students will review applications and invite final candidates to present their proposed speech in person. Submissions must include:

  • Applicant's full name
  • PID
  • Phone number
Requirements

  • Good academic standing
  • Must file for your degree/graduation and plan to participate in the June 2024 Commencement
