Steps to begin your Transition into Warren!

Submit your Academic Background

New Triton Advising (NTA) on the Virtual Advising Center (VAC) will be available to you beginning June 22nd, 2026! On this date, please provide Warren Academic Advisors with your academic background information via New Triton Advising by July 15th, 2026. Completing the NTA will allow you to receive Enrollment Guidance for Fall Quarter enrollment in early August. NTA is also where you can review upcoming academic deadlines and find information regarding academic placement testing. Also, look out for advising newsletters throughout the summer.

Warren College Orientation

Orientation is designed specifically to assist you in learning about the resources available on campus, connect you with other incoming students, and smooth your transition into Warren College and UC San Diego. All new Warren College students are required to participate in both parts of the two-part college orientation experience.

Complete the Pre-Orientation Part 1: Complete Warren's Online Orientation Self-guided Canvas Course.  These modules will be released and accessible to students in late August. Please keep an eye out for an email with more details.

 In-Person Orientation Part 2: Attend one in-person orientation session held on:

• Wednesday, September 16th
• Thursday, September 17th
• Friday, September 18th FULL
• Monday, September 21st  FULL

Note: Our In-person Orientation program is only offered to incoming registered students. No guests or family will be permitted to attend, and are encouraged to visit the many attractions on and nearby campus. 

Due to capacity, some orientation dates fill up more quickly than others. To secure a date that works best for you, we recommend signing up as soon as possible. 

 Please sign up for Orientation at cor.ucsd.edu starting June 22nd. The deadline to sign up is July 24th, 2026.

Housing

If you plan to live on campus, please be aware that you cannot move in on the same day as your orientation due to scheduling conflicts. For example, if your move-in date is on September 16th, you may only attend orientation on September 17th, 18th, or 21st. If your orientation date is before your move-in date, you must find your own accommodations (housing) until you are able to move in on your scheduled date. 

If you have any questions regarding move-in, please contact HDH or our Warren Resident Life Office. Consider asking about early move-in. 

Makeup Orientation

If you're unable to attend any of the available scheduled orientation dates or if the deadline has passed, a makeup orientation may be available on a case-by-case basis. Please email wow@ucsd.edu for more information and support. Makeup Orientation will take place after September 21st. More information and final details will be sent out in August. 

Note: Every student, regardless, is expected to complete the Pre-Orientation Canvas courses by September 15th.

• Check your @UCSD email address often! You will continue to receive information about next steps and additional resources available to our incoming students. 
• Complete all necessary steps within your Applicant Portal. (Housing deadlines, submitting final transcripts/test scores) 
• Look out for the Warren College Orientation Newsletter (sent to your UCSD email) for upcoming summer news!
• Connect with Warren on Instagram at @ucsdwarren: Throughout this summer, we will be sharing more information to help you get connected with the Warren community.
