Warren College Orientation consists of four components:

STEP ONE: Colleges Orientation Registration

Orientation is a mandatory program. Registration opens mid-June on the Colleges Orientation Registration or “COR” website. Spaces per session are limited.

Register early to secure session dates and times that fit your schedule at

Note:  DUO Two-Step Login is a security feature that requires verification of identity when logging into UC San Diego protected systems. After setting up your Active Directory credentials (student email), you must register for Duo before you can access any UC San Diego Single-Sign On (SSO) based site or application, including all New Student Orientation websites.

STEP TWO: COMPASS Pre-Orientation

COMPASS Pre-Orientation has been designed to provide new students with a broad understanding of Warren College and UC San Diego. Learn about the academic experience, academic advising, student life, university living, and student services. COMPASS Pre-Orientation also prepares you for New Triton Advising and Fall Orientation.

You will receive your invitation to start COMPASS Pre-Orientation after you register for Fall Orientation on the COR website.

STEP THREE: New Triton Advising Portal

The New Triton Advising Portal is housed in the Virtual Advising Center (VAC). You will be able to complete the following in this portal:

  • Submit your Academic Background, including Advanced Placement (AP) scores, International Baccalaureate (IB) scores, placement test information, and/or transfer coursework
  • Learn more about summer enrollment webinars offered by Warren College Academic Counselors
  • Connect directly with advising staff to ask enrollment-related questions through Online Advising, which is open mid June - August 24, 2022

STEP FOUR: Fall Orientation

Your Fall Orientation experience is led by Orientation Leaders (OLs), who is a current UC San Diego student. Learn about Warren College traditions, deepen your understanding of academic support and campus resources, and explore co-curricular opportunities.

Orientation is a two-day program held September 12-20, 2022. This year's Orientation program is a hybrid experience consisting of both asynchronous and synchronous programs.
